My Personal Story: How Music Turned Me Into An A+ Student
Well, let it be known that you cannot please everyone. Today, I woke up, flipped on the computer and read my emails. And what do I have, an email from a PhD professor from Dallas TX. The gentleman wanted to write me on Sunday Morning to tell me that my grammar is inadequate (atrocious) and that he is a PhD English Literature Professor. Why would he bother, that’s silly? I agree my grammar is not perfect, I am work in progress, however, that was a rather nasty email if you ask me.
Perhaps you have repaid some of the installments on your student loan by yourself. At that point you may be allowed the authority to branch away from your cosigner. This is known as a co-borrower release. By taking on such a release, you ensure that the responsibility for repayment is all yours. Also, paving the way for future loans, you would no longer be saddled with the credit history of the cosigner. At that point, you and your cosigner become separate entities when it comes to credit histories. You would be in the loan driver seat, so to speak.
Nothing turns a kid off faster than a nagging parent. Children will work harder when they receive praise for their efforts. For children who are resistant to homework to the point of not doing it, you may want to consider a rewards system (stickers on a chart, for example) to encourage their success. For other children, specific, positive verbal praise will help encourage your kids to keep up the good work.
To begin with, you can only owe to the IRS taxes on what you actually make. With your student loans on the other hand though, you can take out $100,000 in loans as a student, hoping that you make it big on the other end. And then, you could discover that your profession of choice craters and there are no good jobs. Law school graduates, having paid big bucks for their degrees, are discovering that legal firms no longer pay the $200,000-a-year salaries that they used to. $50,000 a year would be more realistic.
A college student who graduates with a Bachelors degree could easily end up with twenty thousand dollars or more in student loans. This seems very extreme, but in actuality, it isn’t. The price of getting an education is very high, and is growing higher and higher everyday. Sometimes, this is all a college student can do if they are going to complete their education.
Next, Pell grants are wonderful things. But have you heard of the SMART grant? SMART grants are given to people in their junior and senior years of college if they major in a science field. They have grown at a faster rate than tuition in the last couple of years and are worth looking into.
Always let your child have a break once home from school to just relax and not be focusing on learning. This will let their mind rest a bit which will help them focus on their self help essay later on in the day or evening.
Sixteen years before, when I was a captain in the U.S. Army, I first stepped into this yard of Harvard as a graduate student, pursuing the master’s degree I was awarded two years later. After retiring from the army in 1996, I returned to Harvard for the final tower-the doctoral degree.
After having completed my phd Systems Engineering, I now reflect upon a long and arduous path with satisfaction. However, this new perspective also points out the fact that my brain had been functioning at a less than optimal efficiency for that same period of time.
Fourth, know what your deadlines are for submitting FAFSA forms (those are to apply for financial aid), grant and scholarship applications. Research grants and scholarships given out by your specific school. Research schools with special programs for which you might qualify. Great example is Wilson College. They have a program where single mothers study at Wilson and can live on campus with their children. That blew me away.
Also, in the initial eBook the implementation advice is pretty poor. Unless you are good with this stuff you may find it pretty challenging. If you stay on for the PhD program you will get more information to make it easier.
